Do I need special media for panoramic prints?
No. Panoramic prints use standard DS820A media. With 8x10 media, you can produce 8x18 and 8x26 panoramic prints. With 8x12 media, you can produce 8x22 and 8x32 panoramic prints.
How do I print 8x24 panoramic prints?
8x24 panoramic prints are one of the most popular pano sizes because frames and design templates are widely available. The DNP DS820A does not print a true 8x24 size directly. Instead, it supports 8x26 panoramic printing. To create an 8x24 pano, most customers place their 8x24 design on an 8x26 canvas and either use the extra 2 inches for branding, event information, a logo, or simply trim it off after printing. If you are placing the print in a frame, the 8x24 Panoramic Easel from Tyndall is designed to hide approximately 1 inch on each side. In this case, center your 8x24 design on the 8x26 print so the finished display appears as an 8x24 panoramic image.
Can I print from an iPad to the DS820A?
The DS820A is a USB dye-sub printer. To print from supported iPad photo booth and event workflows, pair the printer with AirCastPro 3 for wireless or wired printing support where compatible.
